Creating a Trade Bundle

What is a Trade Bundle?

Let’s briefly discuss what a Trade Bundle is and how Trade Bundles are organized.

The simplest description for a Trade Bundle is that it is a container of trades. The performance of the trades in the container or Trade Bundle can then be evaluated individually or together by the Trade Evaluator.

The trades in a Trade Bundle will consist of buys and/or sells of a ticker or group of tickers that you would like to evaluate. You can manually input trades, import them from .CVS or .XLSX, or import them from an existing Stock Rover portfolio.

You can create multiple Trade Bundles, each with their own set of trades. Trade Bundles operate independently of each other so you can even have the same trade across multiple Trade Bundles or make a copy of a Trade Bundle and modify it.

Trade Bundles are organized in a folder hierarchy. You can either leave your Trade Bundles under the ‘Default’ folder or create your own folders via a right-click and then dragging and dropping the Trade Bundles to an appropriate folder.

Accessing the Create New Trade Bundle Window

We begin with the Trade Evaluator by creating a Trade Bundle. This in turn means, specifying the trades we would like to put into the Trade Bundle and and giving the Trade Bundle a name.

You can create a Trade Bundle in one of three ways in Stock Rover; manual entry, importing trades from an external file or importing trades from a portfolio contained in Stock Rover. You select which way via the Create Trade New Bundle window, which is shown below.
