To change your password, go to the dropdown menu with your account name found in the top righthand corner of the Stock Rover screen. Select the Account Settings menu item.
This will bring up the following window where you can change your password.
You can also update your contact information through this window.
Note here you can all see the number of portfolios, watchlists, and screeners that in use compared to the maximum limits.
To change your email, go to the dropdown menu with your account name found in the top righthand corner of the Stock Rover screen. Select the Account Settings menu item.
This will bring up the following window where you can change your email.
To update your number or phone carrier, go to the dropdown menu with your account name found in the top righthand corner of the Stock Rover screen. Select the Account Settings menu item.
This will bring up the following window where you can change your phone number or phone carrier.
To enable Multi-factor Authentication, go to the dropdown menu with your account name found in the top righthand corner of the Stock Rover screen. Select the Account Settings menu item.
This will bring up the following window where you can select Enable Multi-factor Authentication.
Clicking on the info icon next to Enable Multi-factor Authentication will provide you with additional information on how this authentication works.
After clicking Save on the settings you will get a warning that you are turning on the Multi-factor authentication and you need to confirm by hitting Yes to turn it on.
Once you click Yes, a new window will appear with a code, this is the secret key needed to set up the Google Authenticator App. This code is also emailed to you, but it is recommended to copy the code as well.
You will need to install the Google Authenticator app on your phone, the app can be downloaded to your Andriod or IOS device.
Open the app on your phone and select the Enter a Setup Key option and then enter your Stock Rover username and the key from your email or copied from the window in the previous step, then click Add.
This will produce a time sensitive code. Now log into your Stock Rover account and enter your password and then the code provided by the Google Authenticator app.
To change your email preferences, go to the dropdown menu with your account name found in the top righthand corner of the Stock Rover screen. Select the Account Settings menu item, and then the Email Notifications tab.
Email Notifications allows you to configure what kinds of emails you want to receive from Stock Rover. You can opt to receive Performance Report emails for your portfolios and/or watchlists on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. You can also choose which kinds of Stock Rover news emails you’d like to receive. By default, you are subscribed to our Weekly Newsletters, Product Updates, and Webinar reminder emails. Uncheck the boxes for any notifications you do not wish to receive. Please allow 7-10 days for your webinar, newsletter, and product email preferences to be processed.
Note that even if you unsubscribe from our news emails, you will still receive emails regarding important account update information, such as a password change or a subscription plan change.
To change or cancel your plan, go to the dropdown menu with your account name found in the top righthand corner of the Stock Rover screen. Select the Account Settings menu item and then the Change Plan tab.
If you are a Free user, you will be taken to our website where you can sign up for a monthly, yearly, or 2-year Premium plan. If you are already a paid subscriber, this will open a window where you can change your plan:
You can upgrade from Essentials to Premium or to Premium Plus, or from Premium to Premium Plus. You can also add a Research Reports subscription.
In addition to upgrading the plan level, you can also upgrade the duration of a plan to get a better rate. For example you can upgrade a monthly plan to a yearly plan or a monthly or yearly plan to a two year plan.
The cost of any upgrade will be the difference between the remaining value of your current subscription and the cost of the upgraded subscription. We will take the remaining value of the current subscription and apply it towards the new subscription. The renewal date changes to that of the new subscription.
Most of the changes can be implemented automatically by the Stock Rover subscription processing software. You will receive a confirmation email describing any changes you have made. If the plan change is complex and can’t be handled automatically by the subscription software, then a Stock Rover team member will contact you via email to confirm and implement your requested change.
If you have canceled a Premium plan subscription, you will continue to have use of the Premium features associated with your plan through the paid period. After that, your account will automatically revert to a Free account. As a reminder, we do not issue refunds.
Stock Rover supports paying via credit card or PayPal. To change your payment method, go to the dropdown menu with your account name found in the top righthand corner of the Stock Rover screen. Select the Account Settings menu item and then select the Update Payment Method tab. Then click on the Change Your Payment Method button.
Then select Card or PayPal as seen in the screenshot below.
Then make the card changes or PayPal changes, and click Save Changes.
To update your credit card, go to the dropdown menu with your account name found in the top righthand corner of the Stock Rover screen. Select the Account Settings menu item and then select the Update Payment Method tab. Then click on the Change Your Payment Method button.
Then select Card as seen in the screenshot below.
Here you can make the card changes, then click Save Changes.
To view and download your billing history, go to the dropdown menu with your account name found in the top righthand corner of the Stock Rover screen. Select the Account Settings menu item and then the Billing History tab. To export your billing history as a CSV file, click the Export button, circled below.
You can also print your billing history directly by clicking the Print button to the left of Export.
If you need to produce a PDF invoice for your Stock Rover subscription, you can access this by clicking on the down arrow next to your user name in the upper right hand corner of Stock Rover and then selecting Account Settings from the ensuing menu. From there you will want to select the Billing History tab and then click on the Invoice icon to download an invoice as shown below.
When you click on the Invoice icon, a PDF containing the invoice for the selected billing will be downloaded to your computer.
To change your preferences, go to the dropdown menu with your account name found in the top righthand corner of the Stock Rover screen. Select the Preferences menu item.
Preferences allows you to change settings for the following items:
Tooltips shows detailed information about an item on mouse hover over the item. Items can be tickers in the table, chart legends, and items such as screeners, portfolios or watchlists in the Navigation Panel.
Layout allows you to only show the Navigation bread crumbs when the panels are collapsed. It also allows you to turn off/on showing tabs for each table view. If you turn it off, the display will show only the tab of the currently active view. It also allows you to add or remove cell borders in the table. Cell borders creates vertical lines between columns in the table, creating more of a separation effect.
Prompts will give you an extra prompt before you abandon an action you are in the midst of, when abandoning that action may result in lost work. We recommend enabling this option.
Folders allows you to create folders within folders in the navigation tree, so for example you could have three folders under the portfolio folder, such as Investment Accounts, Income Accounts and Retirement Accounts and then have your individual portfolios placed in the appropriate folders.
Auto Refresh automatically updates the prices of all tickers in Stock Rover when you are logged into Stock Rover and have been inactive. Note prices are automatically updated when you are active and generating requests to Stock Rover.
If you would like to send us feedback, submit a question or make a suggestion, you can do so by going to the dropdown menu with your account name found in the top righthand corner of the Stock Rover screen and select the Contact us menu item. Here you can select the type of feedback you would like to send us and then fill out the form and click Send.
To change or cancel your plan, go to the dropdown menu with your account name found in the top righthand corner of the Stock Rover screen and select Change Plan.
If you are a Free user, you will be taken to our website where you can sign up one of our three Premium plans, Essentials, Premium or Premium Plus. Each plan can be subscribed to as a monthly, yearly or 2-year plan.
If you are already subscribed to one of our Premium plans, Change Plan will open a new window with the Change Plan tab selected. This window will allow you to change your plan. See this Change Your Plan help section for additional details.
You have the ability to change between all four of the Stock Rover plans during your Premium trial. In that way you can experience what each plan offers. By default you start with the Premium Plus plan, which is the most capable of the four plans. However if you want to trial either the Premium plan, the Essentials plan or the Free plan, you can do so. You can switch between the various plans as many times as you like during the Premium trial period.
To change your trial plan, go to the dropdown menu with your account name found in the top right hand corner of the Stock Rover screen and select Change Trial then choose the plan you want to trial. Note this option is only available when you are running the Premium trial.
You can delete your account from within Stock Rover if you are running a Free account or a Premium Trial. If you have a paid subscription, you will have to first cancel your subscription and then you can delete your account.
If you are a free user you can delete your account by clicking on the down arrow next to your username and selecting Delete Account as shown below.
If you are a Premium Trial user, you can cancel your trial and delete your account by first clicking on the down arrow next to your username and selecting Change Trial as shown below.
Then you can cancel your trial and delete your account as shown below.
