Through March 31, 2015, Stock Rover is offering two Premium features, alerts and portfolio modeling, for free to all users. This allows Basic members to try out these features, both of which were introduced in the product in the second half of 2014.
This is the first time that alerts have been opened to Basic users. Alerts allow users to set up specific triggers on stocks, such as certain price or volume thresholds. When the trigger event occurs, the user is notified immediately, either by text message, email, or both. Learn more about how to set up alerts in Stock Roverhere.
Portfolio modeling allows users to first plan and then test how trades would affect their portfolio in a number of areas, such as sector balance, valuation, and historical performance. While portfolio modeling has been open to Basic users since the feature was launched in July 2014, it has been slated to become a Premium-only feature. March is the last month for Basic users to try portfolio modeling for free.
